Axisweb has selected five artworks featuring contemporary artists who use or incorporate plaster in their work: Dallas Collins, Andrew Crane, James Woolley, Chloe Hurst and Helen Barff
Ceramic Drawings, 2008
These sculptures are made using ceramic slip and drawing the profile form onto a plaster bat. The drawings themselves are then constructed into three dimensional objects and fired. Some resist the process and some fail, this gives the artworks a self sustaining critical approach.
