Artist Statement

My practice spans video, digital, sculpture and installation. I’m interested in how digital interfaces can facilitate physical interactions and play in the real world. I use technology in a way that promotes haptic and gestural movements, and open-ended play. I think there’s magic between a human motion and a technological response that facilitates an easy access point for audiences to engage with technologies and join discussions about the wider implications that the work might point at.

Other recent work has been as part of artist duo, One Five West. We make interactive artworks that encourage people to playfully engage with the built environment. Through embedding physical and digital technologies into intuitive tools for interaction, we subvert unfriendly architecture and transient sites into an invitation to contribute to public space. We also use technology in ways that connects with communities to encourage participation with both artowrk and place.
