Axisweb have teamed up with Coventry Biennial to showcase and support an artist from our talented membership base.

The recipient of the Axisweb Commission will receive £500 to develop and exhibit a body of work alongside a huge roster of artists at the Coventry Biennial in one of Axisweb's Vacant Space properties.

Coventry Biennial’s title this year is ‘The Twin’. Inspired by the 75th anniversary of Coventry's twin city status with Volograd, Russia; this years Coventry Biennial comprises of a series of exhibitions, events and activities about relationships.

We are interested in applicants who can respond creatively to this years theme, while also demonstrating a strong direction in their practice and a high level of critical awareness. We will consider applications from artists who wish to develop an entirely new body of work, and artists who wish to re-configure older work.

Axisweb will also offer a small travel bursary to facilitate a viewing of the property in advance of the Biennial.

Deadline: 9.00 am Monday 8 July 2019
